SETAPAK! is an annual program initiated by the Melbourne University Indonesian Student Association (PPIA Unimelb) since 2015, which aims to help develop communities in Indonesia that are often overlooked.

About The Event
This year, SETAPAK! aims to aid the needs of SD Negeri 1 Karanganom located in Kendal, Central Java. Established in 1974, this public school is run by nine teachers and supports the learning of 107 elementary school students.
However, this public school has inadequate building conditions, where the roof and walls of classrooms have been damaged and the classrooms are not suitable for use. Consequently, students are confined to study in a narrow teacher's office, only separated by shelves. In addition, this school needs help to provide learning facilities such as new study tables and chairs.
To ensure children have a conducive learning environment, 100% of the donations given to SETAPAK! 2022 will be given to SDN 1 Karanganom to renovate their learning facilities.
We hope every Indonesian child can have a proper and comfortable place to study, because we believe education is a pivotal bridge for a better future for the nation's next generation.
